Carolina Pilates Receives 2009 Best of Fort Mill Award
WASHINGTON D.C., June 8, 2009 -- Carolina Pilates has been selected for the 2009 Best of Fort Mill Award in the Physical Fitness Instruction category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

 Training the Topcats
Pilates is an exercise-based series of controlled mat and special apparatus routines taught in either private sessions or groups. Originally developed by the late German athlete Joseph H. Pilates over 70 years ago, these carefully performed moves have stood the test of time. Pilates is designed to stretch and strengthen the body, open the joints and release tension. With a strict focus on breathing and intense core movements, Pilates has become one of the most highly recommended methods of rehabilitation by Neurologists, Orthopedists and Physical Therapists.
Young or old, athletic or sedentary, the Pilates Method can help you improve everything from your golf swing to your joint range of motion and make you feel longer, leaner and stronger than ever!
Pilates Private Instruction
With an emphasis on breathing, core conditioning and body awareness, Pilates exercise is safe and highly effective. Careful and controlled sessions with a trained or certified instructor stretches, strengthens and streamlines your body without building bulk. Performed on a mat or specialized equipment, Pilates is a fitness regime for a lifetime. The perfect compliment to cardiovascular exercise, sports, rehab and life, Pilates exercises leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with poise and ease.
Equipment
Carolina Pilates is equipped with top of the line equipment. Using springs in place of weights, the Reformer is specifically designed to perform the deep stretching and intense core Pilates exercises required for optimum results. The Stability Chair aids in execution of hundreds of rehabilitative and high performance exercises. The Ladder Barrel is designed for core conditioning and stretching. The Springboard gives group classes an invigorating full-body workout combining exercises from the Reformer and Cadillac. The latest piece of Pilates equipment is the V2 Max Reformer which allows privates or duets a full body-conditioning workout and it is also geared to sports conditioning
